When I moved to East Lothian a few years ago, one of my biggest fears was leaving my hairdresser behind! But after having my eldest daughter I met hairdresser Gillian Truslove in a mother and baby group and she has been my hairdresser ever since. In that time, I’ve had natural colour, highlights which vary with the seasons and various lengths and I’ve always been delighted with what Gill does.
She operates from Mark Crawford’s salon in Haddington which is super easy to get to, simple for parking and she works hours that suit me!
Until lately, I did sometimes worry though that I might be weakening my hair with constant colour. I needn’t have worried - not only is Gill a colour specialist with many years of experience but she also now uses a wonder product called Olaplex.
Using active ingredients on a molecular level, Olaplex repairs the bonds our hair is made up from and makes our hair stronger, healthier and shinier. Gill tells me that it also enables her to push the boundaries in colour. For example someone who might not normally be able to have a light blonde, as their hair wouldn’t cope with the stress, can now get their hair to a better state so they can then colour it lighter without compromising the hair. This is done in the salon but there is also a take home version which you can use whenever required.
Great colour, great condition- what’s not to love?!
My wonder hairdresser Gill has just returned to work from maternity leave and welcomes both existing and new clients.
